This coming Friday is the day believed to be the time when the earth's population will reach 7 billion. It was just 110 years ago at the turn of the 20th century that there were 2 billion people on this planet. There are so many implications of this that it is hard to imagine. Nearly 1 billion do not have enough to eat each day. Soon the #1 challenge will not be war but having be enough potable water.
On the other hand there are more people who can come up with solutions to our most pressing problems. Cyberspace and global cyber villages will allow people to communicate and work together towards a solution. This is the time when collective intelligence is critical. We must work together!
