Our class talked about the growing reality of diversity in parish life -- especially multicultural andethnic diversity. Out guest was a parishioner from one of our parishes who was a long time parishioner and had witnessed the gradual transition of the parish to a Hispanic community. AS she talked she expressed excitement at the new opportunities and compassion for those struggling with the change. She was a living example of the grace we experienced by those who see the possibilities in the new faces in church.
The reality is that we will all need to find the grace in those joining us. How do we find a theology of inclusion what will open us to this gift?
